You may need to try desperation on for size.
I have spent hours discussing personal finances with friends and family members.
Tina and I were discussing our financial journey this last week - why are we moving so quickly? Why are other people in our lives not as distressed with financial mediocrity?
We concluded that it's because they haven't been desperate. They haven't tasted worry.
They've just been below average managers.
If you're financially mediocre; a "below average manager", this may be just fine for you.
You likely won't enjoy my blog, it's not really about being "just okay" financially.
It's about having a rainy day fund, getting out of debt, getting in to a home of your own and retiring on your own terms. It's about cutting generational indebtedness out of your family tree, educating your children with cash, paying off your home early and being generous.
It's about having tasted worry, having been desperate and having put a lot of distance between "then" and "now".
This journey is about modifying behavior.
When are you going to decide that your money deserves your best efforts?
