Thursday Thoughts; Gratitude

One of the things that I've noticed since starting this Total Money Makeover is that it's really challenging. There's not a lot to be said; we already had our fun. Cars, upgrades to homes, expensive toys - and now it's time to live simply. I was grabbing a couple of DVD's at the Ptbo Public Library yesterday and I was thinking to myself, "is it ever nice that I can walk from my great job to the library any day at lunch and grab some books or DVD's for HJ, Tina and myself?" Gratitude doesn't have to be a BIG moment - I think it can be a bunch of little moments. In all the expenses of the move, settling in here in Warsaw, getting the playhouse started and now buttoned up for winter - not a DOLLAR was borrowed. Because MY FAMILY DOESN'T BORROW MONEY. In a moment of gratitude, even when you don't feel like you've made big progress on your debt snowball (and seriously, we haven't in the last month or so) focus on what you can be grateful for - we haven't slid back in to old habits, either. Remember: has debt been so good to you that you can't bear to part ways? Get started & Stay encouraged!
