Have you ever hit the limit on a credit card and been mystified why you were declined?

Perhaps you had been doing what every credit card company wants and burying your head in the sand, paying minimum payments, mumbling about an upcoming bonus, tax return or other optimistic windfall to act as a substitute for personal responsibility.

I sure did.
